Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website located at www.megansmysteries.com (the “Site”), operated by Paired Inc. (“Paired,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and purchasing any murder mystery scripts or related products (“Scripts”). By accessing the Site or purchasing our Scripts, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using the Site and must discontinue use immediately.
1. Legal Ownership and Enforceability
Megan’s Mysteries is a brand owned and operated by Paired Inc. All Scripts, content, digital materials, and physical products are protected under U.S. and international copyright and intellectual property laws. Violating these terms may subject you to civil and criminal liability. We aggressively pursue infringement.
2. Intellectual Property
- All Scripts and materials are the exclusive property of Paired Inc.
- You may not copy, resell, share, modify, distribute, upload, or create derivative works unless expressly permitted.
- Trademarks such as “Megan’s Mysteries” are protected and may not be used without permission.
3. Personal License Terms
Your purchase grants a limited, non-transferable, single-use license to host one private, non-commercial event (e.g., home party, birthday, family gathering). You may:
- Print or distribute materials privately to attendees only
- Use for one-time private entertainment
You may not:
- Host paid or ticketed events
- Use Scripts at schools, community centers, churches, or corporations without a commercial license
- Upload, livestream, or record and share performances
4. Commercial License Terms
If you intend to charge admission, run a public event, or use our Scripts in any setting that generates revenue, you must purchase a separate Commercial License. We offer both single-event and multi-use licenses, available here.
Violation of this clause constitutes copyright infringement and theft of intellectual property. We reserve the right to initiate legal action, seek damages, and pursue maximum penalties under federal and state law, including attorneys’ fees. If you attempt to circumvent the license requirements, we will treat this as intentional fraud and pursue it accordingly.
5. No Refunds on Digital Goods
All sales of digital products (including Scripts) are final. Due to the nature of downloadable content, no refunds will be issued once access has been granted. If your file is damaged or download fails, contact us for support—we’ll make it right.
6. Physical Goods
All deluxe or shipped kits are final sale unless damaged in transit. We do not accept returns on opened kits. If your order is damaged or incomplete, contact us within 5 business days of delivery. We may request photographic proof.
7. Limitations of Use
You may not:
- Strip watermarks, brand marks, or copyright notices
- Use Scripts as part of your own product or content
- Train AI models using our content
- Upload our products to any file-sharing, torrent, or cloud platform for redistribution
8. Enforcement and Legal Remedies
We take IP violations seriously. We actively monitor the internet for unauthorized use. If you violate these terms, you agree to:
- Pay all legal costs, including but not limited to court fees and attorney fees
- Cease all infringing activity immediately
- Pay damages as determined by a court of law, up to the maximum allowable by law
We reserve the right to block access, revoke licenses, and notify platforms or venues if violations are found.
9. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Jurisdiction and venue for any legal action shall be exclusively in Hamilton County, Indiana.
10. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time without notice. Your continued use of the Site or our products constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. You are responsible for reviewing this page periodically.
